Hey there, just got my new setup online. It’s running an AMD X4 860k with 4.3GHz OC, cooling it with an Arctic Cooler 64GB F2A68HM-HD2, 8GB DDR3 at 1600MHz, and the Pallet GTX 960 OC edition. No matter what I crank up for CSGO, I’m stuck at around 60fps max. Plus, my temperatures keep spiking—Speccy says 96°C at idle, but the core temps are only 18°C. Something’s not quite right.

Confirm if v-sync is enabled or modified in the console. Check BIOS for temperature readings or use a HW monitor and speedfan to view load temps.

These temperatures are elevated. If your HWMonitor, Coretemp, or BIOS reports match, consider re-seating your cooler. Your BIOS settings are likely the most reliable.

V sync isn't working in the game settings and the NVIDIA control panel as well. I've included a photo of my BIOS temperatures, which seems to show nothing active.

Verify if the power-saving feature is disabled, since enabling it limits your frame rate.

This indicates the thermal safety buffer, representing the gap before overheating occurs, not the real temperatures.
