Assistance needed for "whea uncorrectable error"
Your PC is experiencing crashes and showing the error "whea uncorrectable error." This usually points to a hardware issue. Based on your build details, you might want to check the RAM, power supply, or GPU connections. Consider running a diagnostic tool or consulting a technician for further assistance.
I encountered problems with my RAM, which led me to request a return and replacement. It seems some people in this discussion have noticed similar issues, though I didn’t attempt adjusting the memory frequency first—consider trying that before sending it back.
You adjusted your RAM settings but the system still experienced crashes. Consider checking for hardware issues or updating drivers.
I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It seems the Windows memory tester didn't work as expected, so I used the standard tool and everything looks normal. I also wish I had mentioned this earlier, but when the system crashes, BSD doesn't always appear and the monitor colors can get distorted. Could it be related to the GPU?
The memory test isn't overly demanding. Mistakes may appear sometimes when memory is severely damaged, but I have ample overclocked RAM that handles that scenario. However, blue screens and failures in various stress tests still happen. I’d recommend trying another memory stress test like TestMem5 or HCI Memtest. Although the error code suggests a RAM issue, color problems can also point to GPU faults, and memory errors might behave similarly depending on the crash pattern.
Right, so I did multiple tests with HCI Memtest and they all returned without any errors. However, before I did that my dad (who helped me build the PC) recalled that the RAM felt wiggly, and I know that's normal but we decided to take the RAM out and just switch it around, and after that we did the test. That was a few days ago and the PC hasn't crashed since. I have also been running games recently that before switching around the RAM, would crash within half an hour. So could switching around the RAM have fixed the issue somehow???.....
