Hello, everyone. I’m facing a really tough issue with my PC setup. Here are the details: I have an Intel i9 13900k with an Asus Strix 4090 OC G.Skill DDR5 32GB RAM at 7600MHz, paired with a Samsung SSD 980 Pro (used as main storage) and a 1200-watt Asus Thor 2 PSU. The motherboard is Asus Maximus Hero Z790, and the case is Asus Helios. Since building this system in November 2022, I’ve encountered several problems: BSODs, random crashes, Windows update failures, driver issues, and Nvidia graphics glitches. Even after replacing the RAM with new units, the problems continued—BSODs still occurred weekly, app crashes happened every few hours, Chrome would crash every 15 minutes, and updates kept failing. I tried restoring from factory settings multiple times, but it didn’t work. After disabling XMP and IA overclocking, the issues persisted. I even reset everything to factory defaults, yet the system wouldn’t boot properly. Now I’m stuck again, and I’m desperate for a solution.

Consider lowering your RAM's clock speed. High-speed DDR5 can be prone to issues; you might need to adjust the timing settings or risk instability.

You're starting from scratch with these concepts. Let me break it down simply:
- To understand how to perform certain tasks, you need foundational knowledge.
- The Ram speed being at 4800MHz is a technical detail about frequency settings.
If you're new, focus on learning the basics before diving into specifics.

It's still worth trying to reduce the issue further. The process differs across vendors, mainly where you change to XMP settings. Look for an option to set them to DOCP, which applies factory defaults. If you haven't done this yet, note the timing values and use them as a baseline for adjustments. Check if you have the most recent BIOS—updates are often needed first to prevent crashes or bricking. If you're using "BIOS flashback" (offline updates), that might help. You could also test with a single RAM stick, varying slots and configurations.

It seems the issue might be related to the RAM, and the system appears unstable. Consider upgrading to Corsair for better reliability.

DDR5 is an emerging technology with some initial challenges. Its high performance and significant modifications have introduced more issues compared to earlier versions. Consider testing a different option and send it back if it doesn’t work.

Sure thing! I'll be back after giving it a try.

Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file changes there.
