Hello, I've collected everything needed for assembling a PC this is my first time. I'm curious about installing Windows on this machine. I found a mention of g2a.com in a previous post, and I visited the site. It seems you can buy a valid product key for around AUD $55. Does this process only let you purchase the key, then download the files onto a USB drive to start the boot? Will this method support upgrading to Windows 10 when it becomes available? The other link I saw is http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/, but I'm unsure how to use it. Are either of these approaches not advised or do you need to know specific steps? What’s the most cost-effective and legal way to install Windows on a new PC? Thank you for your help.

I suggest you simply pay $100 and obtain a copy from Microsoft. A digital version is available, and everything seems fine. Other sites often sell limited copies or codes that only unlock one year.
