I think you'd likely receive an updated ISO if you have the original Windows 7 disc. It will probably go through many changes after completion, and I usually keep my Windows 7 ISO current within a few months. The driver prompt seems mainly for SATA devices, so it might not be necessary to worry about that.

For a fresh setup, remove all partitions and wipe the whole drive. It will only keep the old Windows filesystem you no longer need, as you're starting from scratch.

The system files are crucial even during reinstallation. With your reserved system and 1TB drive, you should format them to ensure a clean setup.

Begin by connecting just the SSD, remove all partitions, format it, and once finished, install Windows. After that, reinstall your previous drives into the computer.

You're concerned about losing important data by removing system files. It's wise to back up your important files before making changes. If you delete system files, it could affect stability or access to essential functions. Consider using an external drive or cloud storage instead.

They are outdated system files you don't want to affect the new installation
