I think you'd likely receive an updated ISO if you have the original Windows 7 disc. It will probably go through many changes after completion, and I usually keep my Windows 7 ISO current within a few months. The driver prompt seems mainly for SATA devices, so it might not be necessary to worry about that.
For a fresh setup, remove all partitions and wipe the whole drive. It will only keep the old Windows filesystem you no longer need, as you're starting from scratch.
