I have plenty of storage and multiple drives. Since Windows runs out of drives at certain alphabet numbers, I reserved two spots for external devices. The issue is that the drives aren't linking letters to themselves when connected. The free letters are X and Y. Anyone has any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

You can place the drives inside folders, allowing you to mount a drive at C:\bigdders without needing a drive letter. This approach works well.

Begin with a complete system refresh. After launching, connect one of the storage devices. Navigate to "Control Panel," then "Admin Tools," followed by "Computer Management," and finally "Disk Management." Locate the desired drive, right-click its name (the bottom-right shaded area), and select "Change Drive Letters and Path." Check for existing drive letters or duplicate entries that might cause confusion.
