I added some track mods, but the game stops in the middle of the race. The racedept mods seem to have issues.

Assuming it wasn't crashing before, it's probable the answer is yes. Buggy or conflicting.

The Race Department remains the most trustworthy option because the developers made a significant mistake by removing them from their site. It might be that the track size exceeds your system's capacity, or they've become outdated without updates.
