Absolutely, that's accurate. Both titles really stand out, though the Assetto Corsa version seems heavily influenced by mods from the start. The presence of mod support and well-developed project cars suggests it’s a strong contender (on PC anyway). It mostly boils down to how many modders are involved and how well the game handles its new sound engine—most modded vehicles are silent, but updates are coming soon. Around 70 cars are already in the mix, with 15 being top-notch and over 200 tracks added before launch. Project Cars needs continued support to maintain its community-driven approach. The balance of power has shifted, especially with exciting additions like the Mario Kart Rainbow Road and the Jansen P12. I’m excited to see how PhysX improves things, though I don’t have a PhysX rig right now—my rig is a 7870 XT. Overall, it’s a promising project with a lot of potential.
By GT you refer to a gaming experience, possibly involving a mix of racing simulations and arcade-style games. It seems you're discussing changes in the project cars community, noting shifts from hardcore simulators to more polished physics engines. You mention personal preferences and the impact of updates like Rfactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. Your tone reflects a nostalgic yet critical perspective on how the scene has evolved.
Yeah I mean Gran Turismo, greatest racing sim ever. Shame it's Sony owned and won't appear on PC unless some awesome person coverts GT7 when it's out for PC emu. @topic let's hope C. A. R. S can get back to its sim routes and get to GT's level. Need a new card 1st though so I can demo both PCars and AC with decent gfx settings so I can decide
I'm really enjoying Nextcargame: Wreckfest the most. It's the best racing experience I've had so far, though it's still in pre-alpha.
