Assemble a computer system step by step.
Hi everyone. I'm assembling a certain budget PC using parts I already own, and I'm seeking your input on this component. I'm not completely confident about it yet—do you think it will function smoothly? >>G.SKILL, Aegis F4-3000C16D-16GISB, DDR4, 3000MHz, <<I'm considering this because it looks reasonable for the price. * I recently got a Ryzen 5 2600, * a new Gigabyte B450 AORUS Elite motherboard, * an SSD of 480GB, * my old 2TB HDD, * a GeForce 1060 6GB GPU, * an LC CC 120 cooler, * a mid-tower ANTEC case with five fans, * and an old DVD player just for fun! The main use is for typical multimedia tasks like playing RTS games. I usually don’t play the latest titles. I’m aware some improvements could help, but I’m from a place where value matters most.
It looks like a solid plan in place. Ryzen processors are quite memory-dependent, so I’d aim to remove any unnecessary RAM from your BIOS settings just in case. XMP profiles can be tricky sometimes; you might need to configure them manually. It’s not overly complicated, but for someone new to PC building it could feel a bit challenging.
I understand... the upcoming changes will likely come with a visual overhaul within a year or two. I'm looking forward to it!
