Assassin's Creed introduced new PC specs for Unity, requiring an AMD Radeon HD 7970 as the minimum and a GTX 780 as the recommended. Should I opt for the console version or stick with my PC? It seems like Ubisoft is pushing quite hard. The PS4 and XONE are already running at 900p/30fps, and a patch will bring them up to 1080p, similar to last year's AC4 update. Watch Dogs also shows minor differences beyond resolution. For next year, the requirements might shift to GTX 970? What do you think?

They only worked on a GTX 750 Ti, they’re just basic. The game needed unrealistic specs (they updated them later), and it still ran smoothly on less powerful systems.

Unity doesn't need a GTX 780 to function; it's mainly about optimizing the game. Ubisoft is recommending a GTX 780 for smoother performance, but I believe eventually the game will handle GTX 750 without issues after some time.
