Hey everyone, I just got my two GTX 980 graphics cards and started playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag with all the settings turned up. I noticed the game consistently caps at around 60 frames per second, and even though my GPUs are only about 40-50% used, the performance still drops to 40-45 FPS during intense scenes like running through Havana. VSYNC is disabled both globally and in-game. Do you have any tips to boost performance for this title?

Have you confirmed that Vsync is disabled?

AC4 is limited to 61 FPS, apparently nothing can be done about it.

What's the refresh rate of your monitor? And if 1080p at 2.980Hz feels a bit too fast...

Review your files for an .inin named "Assassin 4" or similar, and adjust the refresh rate to see if it improves performance.

Avoid anything that compromises stability for the best frame rate—maximum settings won’t help if it drops.

Read my message carefully. The detail about refresh rates and monitor settings is important for understanding the context.
