Assassin's Creed Black Flag is failing to start.
Hello everyone,
I’m hoping someone can provide assistance. I've attempted to restart Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag after a period away, but the game consistently fails to launch. Attempting to close the Ubisoft Store application displays a message advising against entering offline mode while the game is running, which seems counterintuitive since it isn’t currently active. I've reviewed my system icons to ensure the game wasn't running in the background, but it isn’t. I subsequently tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, yet it remains unresponsive.
Notably, I’ve attempted launching the game both through its CD and via Ubisoft Play, with no success—single-player and multiplayer modes have both proven unsuccessful. My laptop is an Asus G75VW, a gaming model from Asus approximately one and a half years old, and it previously performed this game without issues. I can comfortably run Battle Field 4 at its highest settings, however, this particular game refuses to function.
Do you have any suggestions regarding what might be causing this problem?
I discovered a resolution, at least for my situation. My computer includes a Dell laptop equipped with an i7 processor and a GeForce GT 630M graphics card. I encountered difficulty maintaining a consistent frame rate, even when utilizing reduced settings. To address this, I updated the GeForce GT 630M driver, and the issue was resolved. Now, I can play with all settings maximized with only slight delays.
Recommendation: If you possess a powerful system and graphics card capable of running Assassin's Creed Black Flag and experiencing lag, updating your driver should be sufficient.
Have fun... Happy gaming! To initiate the solution, either update your drivers or permit a 10-minute delay after initiating the game launch command – this will typically result in successful startup.
Hello everyone,
I'm seeking assistance with a frustrating issue. After a period of inactivity, I’m unable to initiate Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. When attempting to close the Ubisoft Store client, it indicates that I shouldn’t enter offline mode while the game is active, which seems counterintuitive since it isn't currently running. I’ve checked my system tray to ensure the game wasn't operating in the background, but it was not.
I attempted to remove and reinstall the game, yet the problem persists. Remarkably, I’ve tried launching it through both disc and Ubisoft Play, with no success – single-player and multiplayer attempts have all failed. My laptop is an Asus G75VW, a gaming model approximately one and a half years old, and it previously ran the game flawlessly. I can comfortably play Battlefield 4 at maximum settings without any difficulties, but this specific title refuses to load.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? A relative experienced a similar problem and mentioned renaming the icon to include ".exe," though I'm uncertain if this will be applicable in your situation.
I’ve found a resolution, at least for my situation. I own a Dell laptop with an i7 processor and a GeForce GT 630M graphics card. I experienced consistently low frame rates even when using the lowest settings. Updating the GeForce GT 630M driver resolved this issue, and now I can play at maximum settings with only slight delays.
Recommendation: If you have a powerful system and a graphics card that can handle AC4BF but are experiencing lag, updating your driver should quickly fix the problem.
Have fun gaming! To initiate the solution, either update your driver immediately or wait approximately ten minutes after attempting to launch the game – this sometimes allows it to start successfully.
I’ve found a resolution for my situation, at least personally. I'm using a Dell laptop with an i7 processor and a GeForce GT 630M graphics card, and I experienced performance issues with consistently low frame rates even when using the lowest settings. Updating the GeForce GT 630M driver resolved this problem, allowing me to play on higher settings with only slight lag.
My recommendation: If you have a decent processor and graphics card that can handle AC4BF but are experiencing lag, updating your driver should quickly fix it.
Enjoy gaming! To help with launching problems, try updating your driver or waiting approximately 10 minutes after initiating the game launch command – sometimes it takes that long to start.
Regarding your experience with a GTX 770 MSI Twin Frozer i5 3350p and 8GB of RAM, getting only 40-50 FPS on high settings is impressive!
I experienced a similar issue after enjoying Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag for an entire week without any difficulties. However, following a Windows 10 update attempt, the game failed to start, which I subsequently resolved.
