Hi,
Yesterday I attempted to install an ASRock Z87 Extreme4 default 4.0Ghz overclocking profile from BIOS just to test it out. My CPU is an i5 4670k. After rebooting my ASUS R9 280X, the system became unstable with coolers running at full capacity and I experienced a black screen. Any explanation or reason behind this? Could the CPU overclocking profile be affecting the GPU voltage settings?

this is why i avoid auto OC profiles since sometimes things go wrong.
i'm trying to do manual overclocking.
using a 40x multiplier at 1.2v with LLC lv5, observe the results, and if it doesn't work, raise the voltage by two notches until you find the right setting.
edit: for voltage, start with the default setting first, then increase by two notches one at a time if needed.
