I bought an ASRock B760 Pro RS Wifi and the RX 7800XT doesn’t function properly when inserted into the first PCIE port. It works correctly in the lower slot. I tried swapping three other graphics cards into the first slot, and they all performed well. After that, I moved the RX 7800XT to another machine in the first slot, which also functioned as expected. Thinking it was a hardware problem, I upgraded to an MSI B760 Gaming Plus Wifi motherboard. The issue continued—first slot fails to recognize the card while the lower slot does. After replacing the board, it worked with other graphics cards. The case is DeepCool CC560; the CPU is Intel i5-13600K.

Someone you know faced a problem installing an RTX 3060 on a Z690 motherboard with an i5 12600K. The fix was changing the PCIe slot settings to support PCIe Gen 4 instead of Gen 5. If that didn’t work, updating the board’s BIOS is suggested.
