Your current motherboard only supports RAM speeds up to 3200 MHz. The upgrade you're considering will work in both BIOS versions, though it may not reach its maximum speed on the B450 model.

Start with the RAM, the motherboard won’t boost performance much right now. You might even reach speeds above 3200 MHz using XMP/DOCP.

Sure, I’ll grab the RAM 1 and consider the motherboard for PCI Gen 4 just in case a 3070 comes along. Thanks for your help! Also, sorry about asking what DOCP means.

I'm not sure which Mobo vendors support it, but I believe AsRock is one of them. It functions like XMP, ensuring your RAM operates at the specified speeds.
