Here’s a revised version of your message:

[Current Specs] I assembled these components for a build, but I’m facing booting difficulties. The system spins up fans, displays the BIOS logo with hotkeys in the top-right corner, then consistently crashes into a black screen and freezes. Only once did it start properly—booting into the BIOS setup without any changes from previous attempts, and even after rebooting in that state, it still froze. I’ve tested several fixes: reinserting RAM, changing the graphics card to a GTX 1080, disconnecting everything except the GPU, powering the GPU, using the motherboard’s HDMI, using one RAM stick at a time in slot A2, and even swapping to a single DIMM. None of these steps resolved the issue. There’s no POST code, no beeping, and no clear error message—just silence. The manual says it’s ready for Ryzen 3000, but I can’t verify the BIOS version or flash it. Nothing seems to work. I’m at a standstill, having tried almost everything except replacing the CPU. It’s unclear what’s causing this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to ideas and willing to send images if needed. My goal was future-proofing and productivity, so I opted for reliable storage, an mATX board, and decent RAM alongside the Ryzen 5 3600. I planned to add a GTX 970 later, but if there’s anything else we can improve, please let me know.

You likely need to update the BIOS on a nearby computer or a shop might provide a CPU. Alternatively, AMD offers boot kits. I’d recommended using an MSI B450 board with USB BIOS flashing that doesn’t need a CPU.

I’ll likely bring it back to Micro Center for a quick flash. If it still doesn’t work and it’s a motherboard issue, we can have it replaced at ezclap in-store. I chose an mATX board since it wasn’t overly demanding—just a solid, compact PC that would last. Otherwise, I’d have picked an X370 or full B450. The N200 cooler from Cooler Master was a decent value and fits only mATX. USB BIOS flashing without a CPU is rare; most makers probably don’t think about it.

The MSI boards cost more due to this, yet they're now the only ones people purchase, driving prices up further. There are recent updates to B450 boards with refreshed BIOS versions circulating. If you purchased everything from micro center, consider bringing back your items just in case.
