Technically it's possible. Focus on the QVL list since it's less critical overall, and the board layout is sufficient for a 3600 kit. Whether you can run the 3600 at advertised speeds depends on your CPU choice—Zen 1 CPUs usually struggle, while Zen + CPU combos generally handle it well unless you encounter unexpected silicon issues.

Board only supports 3200mhz (with Matisse chips—check the screenshot for CPU memory controller details). My friend @TofuHaroto mentioned this, noting that my B450 Pro4 ATX runs stable at 3600mhz with first-gen Ryzen. It was challenging, but with patience and the right approach, it’s doable. A golden sample CPU is possible if you adjust your settings and use a Matisse processor.

Installing 3600mhz will cause the system to start at 2133mhz. At that stage, enter BIOS and configure XMP settings. Check if your board and processor meet the requirements—perhaps it functions without changes. Provide details such as the specific CPU model for better guidance.

It runs smoothly at 3200MHz regardless of dual or single rank memory in B1 and B2 slots. Choosing four dimms won’t help—my setup only hits 2666MHz with four 8GB units. You might achieve 3600MHz out of the box, but it could need voltage tweaks depending on the boards’ silicon. The gap between 3200MHz and 3600MHz is small, especially with Ryzen, though I’d be willing to adjust my RAM settings if it helps.

If you're not a "super user," I'd choose the top 3200MHz with the smallest EVEN number and lowest CAS latency for Ryzen. That means a 3200MHz CL14 would be the quickest. I'm not an expert, but over time RAM can outpace higher clock speeds because of communication delays.

I'm using a lot of processing and rendering, so I believe a higher RAM speed works better for me. But if you suggest 3200MHz, I'd go with Corsair Vengeance.
