ASRock AB350M Pro4 with RGB case fans
ASRock AB350M Pro4 with RGB case fans
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some guidance. Right now I'm using an AB350M Pro4 with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition and a regular case fan. I want to add three 112 RGB fans at the front (Gelid RADIANT-D). I'm wondering how to set this up while still having full control over fan speeds and RGB colors. Can I manage this directly on the motherboard, or would I need a fan hub? Here are the specs:
- 1 RGB LED header
- 1 AMD fan LED header
- 1 CPU fan connector (4-pin)
- 2 chassis fan connectors (one 3-pin, one 4-pin with smart speed control)
The board supports up to 12V/3A and 36W LED strips. The AMD header can handle LED strips up to 3A and 2.5M length. The CPU connector is limited to 1A (12W). CHA_FAN1 can automatically detect whether a 3-pin or 4-pin fan is connected.
Hi krookzy, you could just use a fan hub. You can still tweak the fan speed and RGB colors, but you can't adjust the RPM of individual fans or RGB separately. Only all fans together or none at all will work. The CPU cooler shouldn't be affected since it has its own connector. Look for a fan controller that supports RGB, otherwise it won't connect properly.
