Recently I increased my CPU's clock speed and achieved stability at 4.3 GHz using a 1.385 Vcore. After that, I adjusted the overclock settings for the NB frequency and HBT speed. I set the HBT to 2400 MHz, but the default was 2200 MHz; when I changed it from 2200 to 2400, the system would crash. I also attempted to increase the voltage, but it didn’t help.

My full setup includes:
- ASRock 970 Pro 3 R2.0
- FX 8320
- 4 sticks of RAM (Corsair 8GB DDR3, 4 GB at 1333 MHz, 2 GB at 1333 MHz)
- Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti 2 GB
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB SSD, 7200 RPM
- A cooler with a 500W PSU
- A Scythe Kottsu fan setup with 2 fans at 1600 RPM and good temperatures

hello, with only 1333MHz ram you don't need to overclock the northbridge. increasing the northbridge frequency mainly boosts ram bandwidth. the stock northbridge frequency is designed to handle 1866MHz ram bandwidth. raising it further to 2000MHz+ DDR3 would be unnecessary and just waste energy. if you aim for a 2400MHz northbridge frequency, you should maintain the northbridge at 2200MHz and increase the FSB to 220MHz, which will bring the northbridge up to 2420MHz—but this would also overclock your ram to 1466MHz.

Check if the FSB section appears in your BIOS settings and ensure it's visible.

After that, you can check the CPU individually or it might be overclocked along with the FSB.
