Laughing it off, these kickstarters that never launch and early access games stuck in beta are becoming more common. Take Player Unknown Battlegrounds as an example—I’m still thinking it won’t leave early access anytime soon. Early access is often used as a way to sell a flawed or incomplete product. PUB only has one map and terrible optimization; I think after making money, it could just stop development and walk away with a lot. (A solid concept and fun game though). P.S.: Ashes of creation is interesting, so I signed up for the early bird settler pledge. We’ll find out what happens next.
It's a solid approach to double-check things. They've just confirmed their target for the first Alpha Phase 1 is no earlier than December 2018, so we should see the game much later than that.
I’m really enjoying PUBG and decided to buy it because I believed the current offering was worth the cost. I wouldn’t be upset if they just collected their earnings and left, but I did end up getting something useful that could likely be sold to someone who keeps the servers and keeps improving it. With Kickstarter, things are different—you risk losing your investment if it doesn’t go through. Considering its track record, it’s not surprising that some Kickstarter projects fail, so it’s wise to be cautious. Still, the idea behind Ashes of Creation is exciting, which keeps me hopeful.
I'm curious about this game, but I just wish UE4 can fully use all CPU and GPU power. We don't want another MMORPG with shaky FPS when many actions happen at once. Hopefully DX12 or Vulkan support will come through. Combat feels a bit sluggish and draggy, but it's still in development, so I won't judge too much. Node system... not sure how it actually functions. Imagine around 20 players at a single node. Ten are offline, five are grinding alone, and five are in a group working together. Will the node upgrade to Town for all 20 or just the five in the group? I'm a bit puzzled. The game is set for release in December 2018... players will likely start together, and the first node should reach maximum level right away. By January 2019, new players might already notice the node is at full capacity? Will it be optimized for Ryzen processors since they're still in testing? Is there a pay-to-win aspect? Many questions like these.

I can't wait either. I'm planning to take a few weeks off when it drops.
We should stay cautious about our expectations. This game is still in its initial stages, and the developers likely don’t fully understand how group mechanics will function. I think the more effort you put into a node, the greater the personal advantages you’ll gain—like potential benefits for owning property. Players will invest time and resources into a node because they want to protect their city from other players or PvE events. The devs mentioned five distinct spawn locations based on your chosen race. However, many questions remain unanswered since the game is still in early development. I’m confident the team will think carefully about these details.
