Hey everyone, I'm facing an issue with my LEDs on the fans. After trying the ASUS app for my LED setup on the Rog motherboard, I connected all three fans and AIO together in the ARGB slot. Everything worked until I updated the app again and tried to adjust the colors. Now the fans are showing different colors instead of matching the front ones. I reset the BIOS to default and reconfigured it, but the color change still doesn't happen. My front fans are fine since they're in the case, not the motherboard. I reconnected the fans to the front LEDs thinking it would fix it, but it didn't. Would clearing the CMOS and BIOS and doing a fresh Windows install help? I really don't want to risk it if it doesn't solve the LED problem.

Consider alternatives to the Armoury Crap collection for your audience, such as SignalRGB or OpenRGB.

Hi i tried SignalRGB but it doesn't recognise the led for the aio or the top 3 fans. Am using argb header gen 2 on the motherboard if that helps. I don't see nothing for the argb header in that app. my led on motherboard for the rog logo, ram and my graphic card all work with it. It's just the fans and aio leds that's not working. I have them connected to the argb gen 2 header as that's the only one i can connect it too.

Each addressable RGB LED contains its own controller inside the diode. You can't damage the controller without harming the LED itself. The Armoury Crate might be sending incorrect signals, but it seems they haven't physically affected the device. Clearing the CMOS memory could be beneficial. Remember to activate XMP/EXPO once it's done. If you need to reinstall Windows, do so carefully. Avoid immediately reinstalling Armoury Crate just to observe changes. When you mention connecting to the case, specify the connector type. Are they using aRGB as well? Mixing aRGB with older RGB headers isn't recommended. aRGB operates at 5V while RGB runs on 12V.

I doubt any solution will succeed without thoroughly cleaning Armory Crap First. Which nonworking fans do you own or know about?

I'm testing Phanteks eclipse case with its own controller for the fan LEDs. The Phanteks M25 PWM D-RGB Fan (120mm) is linked to the case controller. Thermalright Frozen Notte 360 WHITE ARGB V2 AIO and three ARGB fans are connected via the motherboard argb header. The setup has four pins, missing one for the top fans and AIO. I'll give it a shot.

I handled the CMOS, took out the battery, and flashed the BIOS, but nothing changed. It seems the LEDs are stuck on one color for each fan and the AIO. Time to replace the fans. Disappointing how an app could affect your LEDs.

I received new fans and argb all working, so I’m sure it’s not the header on the motherboard. It seems something went wrong while using the apps—specifically, the fans and aio led stuck to one color for each fan and aio led. My mouse led stopped working too. I thought the apps were meant to protect things, but I can’t undo what I did in them; I’ve tried multiple times without success. Even after putting the 3 fans and aio back into the case controller, the issue persists. Any advice would be really appreciated. I was using Armoury Create / Aura at the time when the led started causing problems with the LEDs.
