I’m thinking about which option offers the best performance overall. Let me know if you’d like a quick comparison!

I enjoy both squad and Arma 3, though they feel quite distinct. I’d prefer squad since Arma 3 struggled with poor server support and frequent lag across most computers.

Appreciate the feedback, I'm shifting my preference toward Squad instead of Arma 3.

I've been enjoying Arma since 2010, and each Bohemia release tends to cause huge server issues.

Arma 3 features a mod and community centered around a mode called Project Reality, which shares similarities with Squad. While Arma offers more capabilities than Squad and performs better at this stage, it also has its own challenges—some players find the controls awkward and experience performance issues. Unlike Squad, Arma isn’t limited to PvP multiplayer, so you’ll likely encounter a broader range of participants. Owning both, I believe Arma 3 remains the stronger platform, while Squad offers a more accessible experience that could still hold value in the future.

It really depends on what type of game you want. I have about 500 hours on ArmA three and it does take a day or two to get use to. However once you are use to it, it's a great game.

ArmA 3 offers extensive material, numerous large maps, plenty of modifications and titles, a Steam Workshop, cooperative play options, Altis Life features.
