Hello everyone, here’s my query!~
My specs are as follows:
CPU - FX-8370
Mainboard - MSI 970 Gaming
GPU - MSI R9 390X OC 8G
RAM - 16GB
I’m experiencing very low FPS in ArmA (regardless of the setting), but other games work smoothly at ultra. For instance, GTA5 (even with Redux) – Rust, The Forrest, Just Cause.
I’m curious if anyone knows how to boost my FPS in Arma 3 without changing hardware? I know it’s a simple question, but maybe there are some adjustments or overlooked settings that could help. Or is my system just really bad?
By the way, I’m not very comfortable with PCs :c Would any advice be helpful? ♥

Your machine isn't trash. Bohemia isn't the top choice for efficiency.

The processor and GPU pairing isn't suitable for optimizing Arma 3 performance.

AMD CPUs are problematic for Arma because they lack hyper-threading. Arma favors more power per core.

Arma is great since the frame rate depends mainly on a direct CPU overclock or upgrade. The GPU plays a minimal role.

Improving your FPS in Arma III starts by adjusting the individual graphic options.
Arma III runs efficiently, so achieving stable FPS isn't complicated.
Your computer should be okay; just reduce your expectations. Open the graphics menu and set everything to low, then gradually increase the settings you like, observing the impact on FPS. The greater the drop, the lower the setting you should adjust.
If you need the ideal configuration for your system, let me know and I'll share it here soon. I'm going to bed now, but I still suggest you fine-tune the settings yourself for two main reasons: first, Arma III behaves differently on each PC, and second, adjusting them helps you learn more about the game.
