ARMA 3 APEX is amazing
I received the DLC with some exciting new features, but wow. The enhancements are incredible. The audio is great, the weapons perform well, and enemies now die with ragdolls for a more realistic feel. The lightning system is impressive. Arma 3 used to have poor optimization, especially in dense jungle areas, but this DLC and its upgrades make it look much more polished. With these changes, Arma 3 appears better than ever, and I’m actually maintaining a steady 50 FPS compared to my usual 30-40 FPS on standard maps!
Delaying additional funds until the December 12th support update
Oh yes, i was playing it nonstop, and arma did an extrem good job in developing this game where others should just learn from them. On the apex they fixes alot of bugs and made the gameplay way more smoother. Opening the new arsenal was amazing. And the main thing that arma did always well is that its realistic "
Some players in my area tried the initial four missions of the coop campaign with a few modifications, and it was quite enjoyable. We observed Sandy Bridge PCs achieving 15-45 frames per second, mostly around the 30s range, while top-end systems (Skylake 6700k with 1080) reached 45-80 FPS, mostly around 60. This varies depending on your location on the map. Tanoa’s updated version runs about 30% slower than the original Altis version. I recorded a video from a week ago during testing, and it seems no significant improvements have been made recently. Let’s avoid getting excited about perfect optimization—there’s still no hardware that consistently hits 60 FPS. The best you can get for Arma 3 is around 45+, and most mid-range setups often fall below 30 FPS, sometimes even under 15. While the visuals look decent from a static perspective, the new map suffers from noticeable popping issues, especially in the jungle areas where LOD changes around 5 meters away. The overall experience feels less solid, and despite the fun we had in the coop, the game still struggles with performance and bugs compared to its previous versions. As someone who plays Arma for years, we can understand the frustrations, but this isn’t a fix; it’s just another example of the game’s ongoing challenges.
