It's really old (the vanilla version). There are still many other modifications available, but it's been quite a while since I've played DayZ.
It's a disappointment, but it seems we could still manage to play something from the early days.
Arma 2 Dayz Vanilla feels quite outdated, and most Arma 2 OA games run around 5,000 players, with fewer than half engaging with DayZ mods.
