DayZ isn't compatible with Arma 2. You can't play it if you only have Arma 2 installed. The $60 you spent on Steam was for that game, not DayZ. If you're looking for Operation Arrowhead, it's not available in Arma 2 at all. Consider checking other games or mods that work with your setup.
You definitely want the Op arrowhead style. Standard ARMA remains equally enjoyable. Look at the Wasteland servers. Or is that considered regular too? I’m not sure I’ve seen both. :lol:

But then who knows, perhaps 'Arma 2: Combined Operations (Arma II + Operation Arrowhead)' could also be part of it. That's how clear it was, not at all subtle. I thought the odds were slim, almost impossible to find online. Now that I've got confirmation from you guys, what do I have to do to get Operation Arrowhead?
I understood it needed both games to get going. A couple of years ago I looked up how to install DayZ and discovered it really took time. It seemed frustrating, but that's just how things work. As long as the standalone version isn't released yet, at least we haven't missed out on much. Honestly, they should have pushed the standalone game sooner. The whole DayZ hype has faded, and they lost a lot of possible earnings.
ARMA 2 is really enjoyable. DayZ works fine, though it can feel quite isolated, so I prefer playing Wasteland instead.
