The game seems to have reduced emphasis on predator combat. Some mechanics missing, like line launcher and rail takedowns—especially rail takedowns are quiet. Few spots for inverted takedowns are available. Traditional predator rooms are scarce, especially without good vantage points like gargoyle areas. There are too many enemies that can spot you in the grates, so I’m avoiding grates for takedowns when I need stealth. The fear of takedowns makes me hesitate to use unseen runs. Timed rooms with two faces raise suspicion—am I being too cautious?
It looks okay to me; the main issue seems to be their strong preference for using multiple takedowns rather than going fully stealthy. It’s not that it’s too difficult to remain unnoticed, but they tend to cluster too closely together.
Predator has lost its value after the introduction of quickfire batarang. Almost all predator sections in the city can now be finished by chasing foes, rapid shots to stun them, and executing a powerful knockout move.
