ARK Ascended paired with an RX5700 processor.
Recently my friend returned to ARK. Since ARK Ascended supports cross-play, he managed more players than before. The main problem is the game isn’t optimized well. There’s no surprise, the developers seem to have issues. The minimum requirements say a GPU of at least an RX 5700XT, but I own a version without the XT model. My friend has been urging me to purchase it, but I’m hesitant to spend $45 without confirming it will work. Another concern is that my GPU supports 1440p Ultra Wide. It usually works for most games, but I worry it could limit performance. I haven’t upgraded my GPU yet—I just replaced my CPU in December after receiving a bonus, and the next one should arrive in July. My questions are: A) Will the game launch? B) Can it run at 1440p medium? C) Is it playable? My current setup includes a 5700X CPU, RX 5700 GPU, 16GB RAM, and Windows 10 Home.
They won't be usable. Focus on the original version. Don't squander your time or give these developers any funds for this obvious scam. It's not worth the effort at all—its performance in UE5 is terrible, even worse than the original Ark for most systems.
We cant. One of the group is a PS5 guy and doesnt have a PC to play. Also I think they cut support for it as well. So Ill just tell them they have to wait till July when I get my after busy season bonus. Its not just the money. I have a bandwidth cap, I rather not waste that much bandwidth. This is the time of the year where we use most of our data each month.
Yeah then wait. At least until they optimize better and more people make new maps. Honestly I play both and OG Ark is still decent looking. Sad part is New World looks better than ASA. ASA is a detailed yet washed out world.
The latest ARK supports cross-play, which is why they chose this option. I believe most players on the server use PS5, so my friend is the sole PC gamer among them.
