It may be a good idea to visit this page and try running the scanner so you can check exactly what it displays. Link: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/...on/drivers

I'd run a memory check. You can use a Windows built-in tool or some other program for that. I won't add new RAM until the tests prove it's broken.

Your computer's processor is getting too hot and slowing down its speed, which stops it from working right. Changing the hard drive or adding more RAM won't help with a hot CPU. You should take your laptop apart and clean out the dust inside. If needed, just replace the little paste that sits on top of the heatsink. Have you ever tried doing this kind of maintenance yourself? Laptops made around this time had really bad overheating problems. If you don't know how to use a tool called ThrottleStop, please share some pictures showing your CPU slowing down so we can help.

Last year I took it to a repair shop, cleaned everything out completely, melted the old thermal pads, and put new ones on the CPU and GPU. But the slowdowns keep happening even after that fix! The TSR settings aren't working (Dell turned off under-volting). I tried turning those settings back on temporarily, but only it worked for a little while before stopping again until I restarted my computer. Then I started messing with TPL to see if that helps. Here is the picture of my troubleshooting steps: https://imgur.com/a/CnOrwTa You can also check the same thing here: https://imgur.com/a/CnOrwTa
