Hello everyone! I have a question. I'm using an FX-8320e @4.5 1.4v with air cooling from a Thermaltake Contac 29. My readings in stock are 28ºC and full load reaches 58/61ºC... but during certain games like The Witcher 3 and GTA V, I notice spikes from 55ºC to 74ºC for about 3 seconds before it returns to 55ºC. Is this typical?

I'm checking with HWMonitor...

Thank you all!
PC Spec:
MB: Croshair V Formula
Ram: Hyperx 16gb (2x8) 1866Mhz
CPU: FX-8320e @4.5Ghz
HD: WD Caviar Black 1Tb + WD Caviar Blue 500Gb
GPU: Gtx 970 G1 Gaming
PSU: Corsair 750w Tx
Case: CoolerMaster HAF 932

Hi Carlos! The "Max temp" on an 8320 is likely around 61°C, but it's okay to exceed slightly for short periods. However, keeping the temperature above the max for extended times can reduce its lifespan. Since the FX series is about 6 years old, you might want to consider replacing it with a new processor.
