You shouldn't need to maintain an image in a different partition or separate your operating system from your files.

Begin with the SSD connected first. Launch the Windows setup, reach the installation stage, and erase all files when prompted. Afterward, an "unallocated space" will appear—unable to delete. Choose it and proceed; Windows will automatically create the partitions for you, and that’s it.
