hi guys, so i have a W3680 with an unlocked multiplier. The motherboard BIOS doesn't have OC settings, but i overpowered it using ThrottleStop and XTU, which made the clock go to 3.84 at (29x133). When i play games though, my MSI Afterburner says only 3458 Mhz. is this an overclock or no? also, CPU-Z shows me 3.84 as well. anyone can help me fix this?

If you find a cheap X58 board with one used in it for a low price, those processors could hit up to 4.5 GHz across every core.

I really can't, I'm stuck because my ThinkStation 20 has that memory built-in, so I can't push the processor harder. That means I won't be able to boost its speed for better performance.

I looked on Google for an S20 manual and got one back. But I had to tell you that there aren't any tips about what you're asking. Most of the time, when companies make their own computer parts like HP or Lenovo, they don't let people try to make them work faster (overclock).
