I've refreshed the information on my motherboard to say I need to upgrade the chipset. Should I also check if updating the VGA driver is necessary for my system with an i5 6500 CPU?

It seems like you're suggesting that it's okay to have the newest version available. Would you like to discuss what makes a product or update worth having?

Check the most recent chipset release or consider upgrading both components for optimal performance.
