Hey everyone! I just purchased the Ryzen 7 3700X with a 2070, 32GB RAM, 3600W PSU, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. I also got an MSI Gaming Plus X570 motherboard for $155. At first, I was unsure if the X570 was essential—I think I might have been influenced a bit by Micro Center. I was thinking about getting a B450 Tomahawk Max for $115, but now I’m wondering if the X570 is worth it or if the B450 would have been better. Could you explain your reasoning in detail? Thanks!

It’s not mandatory, but it’s definitely preferable that you chose the X570. This model offers superior or additional features compared to the B450.

It's really a reduction in power output. If B550 wasn't available, it would be a more worthwhile purchase—what kind of PSU did you receive?

You chose the CORSAIR TX-M Series TX650M for a specific reason. What prompted your decision?

I understand! It would be great if I could purchase the b550. Sadly, it's a gift and must be prepared within a couple of weeks. Appreciate your feedback!

A solid choice, but sometimes spending over a thousand on a setup isn’t worth it—especially if a cheaper 30$ PSU performs better.

Absolutely right, buddy. It’s not the top tier, but it’s okay. If your PSU fails, you could damage a lot of your gear, especially after investing $1300.

The reasoning comes from the fact that it's a B board, not an X board, and it falls into the lower end of the range. The comparison highlights differences in chipset support and flexibility.
