I've updated to the newest bios since I have an intel CPU (sadly).
I've heard that
intel failsafe
is meant to keep all the cpu's on 1.55v for stability during gaming, but I never had any issues with my CPU yet. Still, I decided to go ahead and update the bios, maybe I made a mistake.
I experimented by adjusting the voltage, though that would also reduce my clocks (from 5.3 to 5.0 per core), so I gave up on that idea and now I just use the ASUS OC button.
It changed things.

With this setup I've seen lower temperatures, lower voltage, and higher clocks—sometimes reaching up to 5.5Ghz with better performance.
Should I stick with this profile or should I be cautious about any risks?

I think this goes against Intel's advice on safely running 13th and 14th generation chips. The purpose of those updates was to make the CPU function properly without causing harm during boost settings.
I wouldn't rely on ASUS OC profiles; instead, stick with the standard settings. You can adjust the voltage slightly if needed.

offsets are frequently overlooked during setup in the bios. just adjusting the voltage limit is effective, though it reduces the clocks by 300.
