Are you sure the two 2x16GB DDR5 kits come from the same maker?
I'm currently setting up my new system and recently picked up the 7950x3D. I've noticed many people mention limited availability of 64GB bundles, so I'm considering buying two identical 2x16 6000MT kits at once. I'll share the link you provided for reference.
Locate 2x32GB kits is actually quite straightforward, you should aim for one if you can. It seems to confirm it's definitely M die, which should ensure compatibility across sticks, though I wouldn't trust the Thermaltake claims at all.
I’m probably choosing between the ROG crosshair x670e and the NZXT b650e, both in white. It doesn’t really matter, right?
I understand G.Skill offers several options in that performance range with various heat spreaders, making it easy to pick one that suits you. You’d want to steer clear of 4x16GB configurations if possible, even though they function. Check out their product page for more details.
It's mainly due to the fact that four DIMMs in DDR5 can be problematic. It sometimes works, but compatibility is uncertain at best, motherboard tuning varies widely, and it's generally not something you should tackle. AM5 appears to handle 4x16GB configurations reasonably well, but since you're relying on the memory maker to match the same DIMMs in both builds, it's still a risky choice. In reality, if more boards only offered two DIMM slots, that would be preferable.
It's interesting how some individuals choose to expand the extra RAM slots to enhance their RGB visuals.
