Just received payment for the Fury X and now it's time to get my GTX980ti back from the seller. Should I go with the I5 4460 and GTX980ti at 1440p, or should I upgrade to something like the I7? All purchases must be made through Amazon.co.uk, and the item needs to be sold by Amazon.

Generally, yes. You'll notice slight gains in performance after upgrading, and it's wise to upgrade before committing to SLI or moving to a more powerful configuration later on.

You were puzzled about why you traded in your 980 Ti for a Fury X—it wasn’t exactly straightforward!

Tell me the tale, why someone would give up the powerful 980ti and switch to something like coke or heroin? What’s really going on here?

The GTX980 Ti was too large for my case and required a more powerful power supply.

No, fury consumes less power than 980Ti.
