Check the actual storage size and adjust settings accordingly.

It's a 2GB drive. The packaging indicates it's part of a set containing two 2GB drives, bringing the total to 4GB.

It's a 2x2 setup, like two 2GB sticks. Did you purchase it from a shop?

It includes the setup I purchased this evening for 30 bucks, featuring an i7 950 CPU. It might still have some value. Thanks!

That's a 2GB stick, not 4GB. It's from a 4GB kit, so that's why it's labeled as such.

Absolutely, it's hard to find a fair description for just one stick.

I agree somewhat. Labeling each stick makes sense. It might be better to say 2x2GB rather than having 4GB on the stick itself. This way, it’s clearer. If you only have one stick, it’s likely the packaging mentioned it. Otherwise, it could just be listed there.

Sure, the packaging should include 4GB, and 2GB should be available on the device itself.

Sure, it’s noted that the storage is 2x2GB, which seems reasonable. This isn’t the sole instance I’ve encountered with such a label.

It's just one ram stick, actually. It doesn't require another one. Think of a scaffold labeled 2x10 ft by 20 ft—it sounds like it should be bigger, but it's only 10 feet. That makes sense for packaging, but not for using the individual sticks.
