Searching for a new laptop that fits your needs. Prefer models from Lenovo or Dell, around $600. You're looking for something compact, between 14 and 15.6 inches. Key requirements include an i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB M.2 SSD, touch screen, backlit keyboard, and a dockable design via USB-C. You also want the option to upgrade RAM and storage later.

So, what do you think the age limit is for "not too old"? Are you thinking about 10th, 11th, 12th, or 13th generation i7s? Do you prefer standard Intel integrated graphics or are you open to a discrete GPU as well? Which country are you in and where are you planning to purchase from? Ebay, Amazon, or local stores?

In my opinion, when shopping in the US, I rely on two places for these items. The first is Dell Outlet, assuming you can find what you need among their recent used or returned products. The second is Newegg, which offers a comprehensive refurbished selection with many options. You should be mindful of the unit's age when making your choice. I’ve discovered several solid budget deals here. The price you’re seeing is a bit higher than extremely discounted new units, but it includes a mix of decent and less desirable used items. Keep in mind that any used purchase will require a battery replacement. I’ve often bought "B-grade" units that performed better than expected, and some "A grade" models that looked nearly new except for the plastic casing.
