Hi.
She wants a laptop costing about £400 for playing Sims 4 and Roadblocks, plus browsing and watching videos. What specifications should she consider?
Cheers everyone.

She mentioned she’d enjoy playing Sims 4 and Roadblocks on it.
I believe you meant Roblox.
The most affordable laptop I noticed on this site is available here:
https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ct/lapto...ortOrder=1
It’s the Medion E30e for £599, brand new.
Based on this shortlist:
https://www.currys.co.uk/computing/...000.0&prefn1=searchFilter14&prefv1=NVIDIA RTX
the Acer model at £529 appears to be a solid choice.
From a technical standpoint, it should offer strong performance for what your daughter wants to run, but considering the future... I’d recommend increasing your budget and exploring something more powerful since the 12th Gen Intel processors are nearly a decade old, while the RTX2050 is a second-generation mobile GPU technology. We’re currently using the RTX5000 series, so this laptop may lose support over time.
If your budget stays under £400, then these suggestions could be worth considering. You also overlooked the screen size, which is why I didn’t pick anything from that category when creating the shortlists. We have a template for that.
