I’m keen on playing car games, but it seems G27 isn’t available yet. Maybe Dirt Rally can be postponed for now.

I can't make a proper comparison because I haven't played Pcars myself yet. From what I've been told and from the research I've done, it sounds like more of a "simcade" game. Not so much hard-core sim as Assetto Corsa or the likes, but with more realism than the pure arcade racers out there. If you love rally and like a challenge, then you'll like Dirt Rally. But as I mentioned before, there's not a lot of content for it just yet.

I totally get that. I own both and right now I lean toward dirt mode. Project Cars isn't exactly a top-tier sim. Like most racing games of that genre, it feels pretty generic—just stick to the basics. Dirt gives you a rush; you have to stay focused, or you'll slip up. It's a more engaging experience. Of course, it doesn't offer the same variety as Pcars.

Dirt offers a richer experience even in casual play, though purchasing it adds deeper content. It’s also available for free. However, each game has its own unique feel—racing tracks provide a distinct vibe compared to rally driving, making the choice about what you enjoy more important. Edit: project cars ai has been quite challenging.
