I switched my G27 to an automatic in this game... It feels like I drive more smoothly. I can focus more on the road rather than checking the RPMs.

I explain how it works, but I can't play auto. Understanding your gear helps you set the right corner speed.

I enjoy both options, but the auto version works best for me.

I prefer the manual mode—it lets me manage the vehicle in corners and keep the gears set for smooth exits. It can get quite demanding when handling the wheel, shifter, and three pedals at once, but I enjoy the challenge. For newer rally cars, I use paddle shifters since they’re common there (some are sequential, but that’s fine). For everything else, I stick to full manual control.

You look similar to someone else who loves Sims games. With your budget, you could go for Project Cars or Rally Dirt—what do you prefer?

In rally games I rely on paddle shifters. For other titles such as project cards, I switch to full manual control.

They’re actually two distinct games with a noticeable price gap. The dirt version isn’t quite the same as the full experience yet.

It's on my wishlist, so someone could purchase it for me if they're interested. ( ) If not, I'm holding out while it becomes available.

Not really for me here in South Africa. Both are quite pricey. Considering a project car... it seems like I could benefit more from it.

It's fine as it stands—it's a complete game. Cars are decent but lack excitement.
