Are you overly worried about temperature changes? (Asetek 550LC)
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to determine if my temperatures are within normal ranges and if I'm overreacting.
Recently, during a long PUBG session, one of my CPU cores briefly reached 66°C before dropping quickly back to the mid-50s when the water cooling kicked on.
Since then, I've checked the temps and noticed this spike only happened in PUBG.
When idle, the temps are about 27°C.
During random tests, the spikes were limited to around 55-60°C.
I have two additional case fans, so airflow seems adequate.
My setup includes: Intel i-7 7700k, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070, MSI Z270-A Pro, and an Atek 550LC water cooler.
These temperatures aren't bad, though they're still within typical ranges. I'm using an i7 6700k with a slightly larger cooler than yours:

My readings are:
Idle: 25-28 C
Gaming Dota2: 50 C
Gaming Tomb Raider Rising: 55 C
The highest I've ever recorded it at was 67-68C
Yeah, those idle temperatures are pretty high, but the game temps are fine. No need to be concerned.
