here is the list of all the xeons that your motherboard supports
(not every one is recommended to purchase, only those that are 4c/8t and preferably ivy bridge revision, which corresponds to an i7 3770 level of performance)
it will work perfectly fine, you won’t even need a bios update.
though if they are too costly in your country, it’s best not to bother.
i would consider buying one only if the price is between 30€ and 40€...

Based on what I've seen, at 1080p an i5 4690 struggles to maintain 60FPS consistently in some games, especially RDR2. That's even more noticeable when using an RX480, which is less powerful than your 1070.

In the end, I discovered a core i7 3770 (it's pretty budget-friendly 😁, following your tips worked). It runs just as well as a Xeon 1240 now. Time comes for a full rebuild. I wish I could choose two options... I'm going to click on all the answers!
