The claim about a 200 fps CSGO edge doesn't hold up. It's more about matching your monitor's refresh rate than actual performance.

High frame rates are worse than consistent ones. Staying around 100 FPS is better than fluctuating between 300 and 150. Whenever FPS drops, it feels like the game is stuttering.

It alters your response time slightly, but overall the game's delays remain manageable. Running at 300 frames per second on a 60 hertz display lets you view every frame clearly. However, you only catch about one-fifth of each frame before it shifts to the next new generation. On a monitor with this setting, you’ll notice five tear lines simultaneously, showing roughly one frame or a fraction of a second. This means lower latency and reduced tear line visibility, which minimizes the feeling of stutter. It doesn’t give you a huge edge, but it’s perceptible to many players.
