Just started using the RTX 3090 and observed that most games run at full CPU capacity, unlike with the 2080 Ti where usage was much lower. GPU utilization stays around 70-80%. I play at 3440 x 1440 with VGA sync off. It seems my 8700K might be limiting me, or there’s something specific about the 3090 I’m missing. Please see the attached data showing CPU and GPU stats. My experience now is sometimes worse than before, especially when pushing resolution up—CPU stays near 90% usage. Even when boosting CPU to 5GHz, FPS didn’t improve much. Games that normally run smoothly with moderate CPU load still have high GPU demand. [System Specs] GPU: RTX 3090 (ROG STRIX) CPU: I7 8700K (4.8 GHz - 1.25V) Cooler: NZXT Kraken X73 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (3200MHz) Board: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-F Drive: Samsung 970 EVO 250GB Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 250GB Storage: Samsung 860 QVO 2TB Power Supply: Asus ROG Thor 850P Monitors: LG 34GK950F-B (3440 x 1440 - 144Hz) Dell U2417H (1920 x 1080 - 60Hz) Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 | Build: 19042.685 Nvidia Drivers: 460.89

Upgrading your GPU will likely boost CPU activity. Correct.

Uncertain about its reliability, but observing others using the same CPU and GPU shows their performance stays near 100% at 1440P. Load patterns seem normal in Doom Eternal, unlike other titles. Currently, my frame rates are worse than what I experienced with a 2080 Ti.

It seems you're asking about driver installation during an upgrade from the 2080Ti to the 3090. Did you mean to confirm whether you reinstalled the drivers after the upgrade?

You just attempted the suggestion, but it didn't work. The problem remains unchanged.

It seems your system is struggling with performance, especially compared to the 2080 Ti. Consider trying to overclock your existing GPU or upgrading to a better model.

I've already boosted this card's speed, now I'm considering a replacement. Thanks!

The CPU regrets not being more explicit in the message.
