Hello,
I’m experiencing problems with my newly built PC that frequently shuts down unexpectedly. This occurs during gameplay such as Overwatch 2, while also happening after playing Ghost of Tsushima and occasionally after a full reboot (possibly around five minutes).

The system runs with the following specifications:
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
DeepCool AK620 CPU Air Cooler
Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX
G. Skill Flare X5 Series DDR5 RAM 32GB
Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 V2 Full Modular, 850W 80 Plus GOLD Power Supply
TEAMGROUP T-Force CARDEA A440 Graphene 2TB
TEAMGROUP MP33 PRO 1TB SLC
Thermaltake Ceres 300 Mid Tower E-ATX Computer Case
Windows 11 Home

Every shutdown results in both monitors going black and the fans stopping. The fan and card lights remain illuminated. I’ve checked the Event Viewer, but no direct warnings or errors are recorded. There are some warning events (6155, 1796, 10016), though they don’t appear directly linked to shutdowns.

I’ve used both the original BIOS and the latest BIOS for the motherboard, and no changes were detected. The graphics card is up-to-date, and I reinstalled Windows 11 from the cloud with files intact.

I tried a driver update tool that flagged outdated drivers, but it disconnected my keyboard and didn’t reconnect after restarting (resolved during a fresh Windows install).

I ran OCCT for stability testing over 45 minutes, but I haven’t checked power stability beyond five minutes.

Other incidents include:
- Updating an Xbox application
- Joining a World on Wuthering Waves
- Possible network issues due to internet lag from the local community site

Could this be related to a network problem? The connection at my location experiences lag spikes because of weak community infrastructure.

Appreciate your assistance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I reinstalled Windows 11 from cloud storage (preserved files).
Backup your mission-critical files, rebuild your bootable USB installer, and reinstall the OS in offline mode. After installation, manually install all drivers relevant to your platform via an elevated command prompt.

Regarding your BIOS, have you cleared the CMOS after confirming your BIOS was updated to the latest version?
I attempted to use a tool that checks for driver updates, but please avoid third-party applications. Cross-check with your device manufacturer's support site for the most recent version matching your system.

Started the process of reinstalling the BIOS, resetting CMOS, and then performing an offline Windows 11 installation (currently blocked by a product key restriction due to a hardware change). I observed that waiting a few hours resolves the issue.
Currently updating graphics drivers for my GPU and will install standard game applications such as Steam and Discord.
Will notify you if further issues persist.

Played Overwatch 2 for roughly an hour and a half without any problems.
Began installing games from my Steam Library (previously on Wallpaper Engine) but stopped during the update and returned to normal.
The only installations I’ve made are browsers, LG and Razer Synapse programs, as well as Steam/Discord.
This time I didn’t install the Gigabyte motherboard program or any other similar software.

Just checked with a friend about the computer; the CPU temperature was at 70 in BIOS. Found the sticker still on the cooler, removed it and reapplied the paste—probably just the small problem. I’ll mark this resolved if I don’t face more issues later.
