You just completed your first PC setup and downloaded Valorant. Two Riot Client shortcuts were added, along with an image attached. Someone might have installed or updated the client automatically.

You likely took a shortcut with the client unintentionally, probably just by mistake 😄

The program and the shortcut are separate. You copied the icon to create a duplicate.

Check if the graphics and chipset drivers are missing. They’re not installed yet, but I’ll download them soon!

Click the bottom option and use the delete key on your keyboard, or right-click it and select delete. The bottom one is the shortcut.

I checked your request carefully. Here’s what you need to know:

- Your question about performance is clear.
- The second part asks about removing a shortcut without removing the program, which is also understandable.

Let me know if you’d like guidance on improving speed or safely managing shortcuts.

Someone might guess it, things can go wrong. It's a quick way in. It doesn't remove the whole program, the shortcut is just the desktop icon. Nothing else gets deleted except that icon.

Even after removing the original Riot game icon from your desktop, the program remains on your computer. Just that icon disappears. Navigate to the left and enter "Riot" to find it again.
