My name is Ridwan, I come from Indonesia. I was born in this country. I often face issues with my PC ID. Sometimes after fixing the first problem, the second one appears again. It’s not an easy situation.

I don’t understand why a satisfaction from playing a game brings up another issue, just like it did with my first Intel PC. Today, my main problem is that when I play CS2, my screen suddenly shows strange artifacts and the system freezes. The mouse doesn’t move, there’s no sound, only a grey screen. The PC stays on but it stops working completely. I tried to force shut it, but I’m really considering giving up.

Here are my PC specifications:
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- XFX RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air
- 6000 MHZ DDR5 Cortex-A850
- Montech Century G5 850W 80 Gold
- Deepcool LE720 360mm
- ASUS Prime X870 P WIFI DDR5

In the coming week, I plan to buy a cheap laptop for work and gaming. I’ll use the PlayStation 5. Hopefully, you all have good luck with me.

Can you capture an image of the artifacts when the screen freezes? Does this occur only during gaming or does it happen randomly regardless of activity? If I had to estimate, it might be due to a graphics card problem with either drivers or the card itself failing. The patterns seen are small squares in a checkered layout similar to a chessboard—this strongly suggests a graphics memory issue. You might attempt lowering the memory clock speed by -500 to test if stability improves.

This occurs both when I'm not playing games and when I am, seeing numerous small squares in green and red on the screen.

It seems like there was a driver crash, possibly due to video memory or the graphics card failing. Attempt to reinstall the graphics driver using DDU in safe mode. If the issue persists, consider underclocking the video memory with MSI Afterburner by setting the clock to -500. If the problem continues, the card is likely dead. Try using a different card and its correct drivers. If it still works with another card, the original one is faulty. Good luck!

I have been using ddu for cleaning and updating the drivers, including the new one for AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. Now, when I launch a game, it stops working.

Today I already suspect my graphic card XFX RX 7900 XTX magnetic air might fail when the GPU starts running games or benchmarks. The screen suddenly turns grey, but the monitor stays on. I also notice many small grey, green, and red squares appearing before the screen goes completely grey and blank. In my opinion, all good brands like MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, ZOTAC, and Inno 3D can fail if we get bad luck, but I want to reduce the chances of failure. Which brand should I avoid and which one is best for long-term use?

The XFX magnetic air is really a quality piece. All brands produce cards that fail or stop working. Is this one new or used?
